The new Philippine country brand “It’s more Fun in the Philippines” gains overwhelming popularity just one month after its launching.
The campaign, although yet to be officially rolled out, has been continuously gaining numerous public responses especially in various social networking sites.
“The ‘more fun’ campaign has now 100 Facebook pages and 11,000 memes.” disclosed by Tourism Secretary Ramon Jimenez Jr. He also added that the campaign became so popular without the government spending for its publicity. It seems like ‘going viral’ became a very effective strategy to bolster the campaign’s popularity.
The new campaign is expected to be rolled out internationally by the Department of Tourism by April.
